Surviving the office #1

I'll continue the iftaar outing entry later as i got lots of things in mind and lots of things happening lately. It's a stressful week that I wish this is only happening in my head. Unfortunately it's not!! Ugh! As im posting this, i still dispised them (who are really acting like sh*t) and pissed off. I think I want to keep it that way forever as they are not worth it. They the one who acted like your friend in the 1st place then stabbed u at the back when they want. Oh well, I believe in what you give you get back. I hope 1 day they'll got whatever they've done straight in their faces.
I know that where ever place that called office is more or less the same but the 1 I'm in is the most terrible place I've been. Being regreted working here, I pull myself back together after being torn apart. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a movie or something. As much as i want to tell u what happen here, I have to hold back. It's not the time yet. I'll tell u, no worries. Wait for it..
For the time being, i want to share 1 email that i received on surviving the office. I think it's a good reading material. Enjoy reading ok.

Know thy enemy? Author pens guide to surviving the office

By Miral Fahmy Miral Fahmy

SINGAPORE (Reuters Life!) – If your office feels like a warzone some days, a book identifying all those colleagues and bosses you've been tempted to battle should help you survive -- through laughter, and cutting back on e-mails.

Michael Stanford describes his recently published book, "Inhuman Resources: A guide to the psychos, misfits and criminally incompetent in every office," as a humorous self-help guide to the annoying personalities that populate offices, with the aim of making sure good manners rule supreme.

Examples include the "I'm not confused, I'm just drunk" person, the "I'm disappointed in you" person, the "let's have a meeting before the meeting" colleague, the "I'm so sick but I'm too important to go home" worker and the "I need to get into the lift before you can get out" person.

"No matter where you work, in which country or industry, people can identify with this book," Stanford, a 41-year-old Australian who worked in various offices, told Reuters.
"Many of these people drove me crazy, but they also made me laugh and cringe, because I could see myself in some of them. Stress has driven us all to do things we later regret."
The book was inspired by a video conference call Stanford was holding with an overseas client, who all of a sudden got up and left the room, never to return.

"That was 10 years ago. He must have gotten a phone call from someone more important and just didn't think we were worth his time. My boss told me to carry on speaking, which I did, to an empty room," Stanford said.

Stanford started out in the workforce as a glue salesman -- he quips most of his colleagues were too stoned to be a threat -- before moving on to a range of industries including retail, hospitality, journalism, advertising and marketing, mainly in Australia. He now avoids offices, and works out of cafes.

The global financial crisis helped create more characters for his book, including the "It wasn't me, it was the GFC" employees who blame all bad results on the downturn, not their performance.

Stanford said the dire economic straits will only increase bad behavior in the workplace, as employees are put under even more pressure due to the tight resources.

He warned, however, that managers and human resources officers must put an end to it before it becomes damaging.

"Stress levels nowadays are very high and the workplace is so competitive -- that is destructive, " Stanford said. "Because of the stiff competition, bad behavior is often condoned or accepted or even rewarded and that should never be the case."
And the solution to most of those workplace nightmares?

In addition to highlighting the importance of simple, good manners, companies should slow the pace and stop inter-office e-mail to get people talking face-to-face, Stanford says.
"E-mails and Blackberries are genius devices, but when you get to the point when people feel they have to respond to everything, all the time, you lose those precious minutes of thinking that you get when you actually get up from your seat and walk over to the other person to talk. Those calming minutes," he said.

"Also, employers would get much more out of their employee if they sometimes let them sleep over ideas."

And no matter how happy beating up that offensive colleague will make you feel, don't do it, he said.

what more can i say

it is obvious that people dont like you..
what can you do?
what can you say?
- they dont like u n definitely they wont listen to u.
obviously they want u out..
what more can you do?
- pack your things and get the hell out of there. what's the point of waiting?
working late = a hardworking staff?? ist it??
- or it is actually because u r inefficient?
finish up ur task within dateline = u 1 lazy ass staff who go home on time..
or is it u r actually 1 god damn good staff an efficient 1?
no point of fighting back, no point of arguing.
what more can you say?

Ah~ what a long weekend i had. BEST!! Lama tak cuti panjang camtu, tho sbnrnyer bukanlah bercuti sgt. Me'nyettle' kan kerja yang tak leh di buat pada hujung minggu. Terpaksa lah amik cuti. Apo nak buek..
Disamping my so called cuti tu, ade lah jugak pergi cuci2 mata. Saje je tgk²..hehehe..(pdhal dlm otak ni dh bersusun list brg ape yg di target next..hehehe)..I was at Sunway Pyramid actually when suddenly i remembered that i was craving for donuts tersedap di Malaysia (for me lah..for others maybe, maybe not..)..ikut taste memasing lah ek..Since mmg lama giler tak pergi situ, byk jugak new shops. To be exact, restaurants. There're byk kedai mkn yg baru²..hmm..at least new for me. Will get back to u on that.
Dah lah bulan puasa, tgk kedai mknan yg beraneka nih, adoi tercabar jugak iman but takpe..just list it down and kita p makan biler ade kesempatan k. So many to try next nih. Yup, food and anything related to it is definitely my guilty pleasure. I can spend hours looking at those fantastic food craft and owh..add another 1 in the list chocolates! Sape yg tak ske chocolates kot kan? I'm kinda fussy dlm memilih chocolate..chocolate murah tak nak layan..(gedix kan)..paling teruk pun layan cadbury lah..as time goes by, dah pandai pegang duit..taste pun smakin mengikut kadar duit yg ade..heheh..
ok enuf dgn chocolate. i went there (Sunway Pyramid) actually just to have these....
